Biomedical Analysis Technician at the Central Hematology Laboratory
The Central Hematology Laboratory of the CHUV is looking for a Biomedical Analysis Technician in general hematology at a 90% activity rate to strengthen its team. The starting date is scheduled for November 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Central Hematology Laboratory of CHUV is tasked with performing biomedical analyses for medical diagnosis and patient monitoring. It includes different sectors: General Hematology (24/7), Special Hemostasis, Special Hematology (marrow/markers), and Molecular Biology. The position offered will mainly be attached to the general hematology laboratory with a 24/7 type schedule.
The laboratory is accredited according to ISO 15189:2022 standard
Mission
- You ensure the execution of biomedical analyses for medical diagnosis and patient monitoring
- You contribute to the management and improvement of the quality system
- You participate in the management of devices and ensure their maintenance
- You collaborate in managing stocks of reagents and consumables
- You contribute to the optimization and medico-technical development.
Profile
- You hold a diploma as a biomedical analysis technician ES or an equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- You have experience in hematology, at least an internship in the field
- You have the ability to work both in a large team during day shifts and in a small team during on-call shifts
- You master office computer tools
- You demonstrate rigor, precision, flexibility, and discretion
- You are able to undertake work that includes night and weekend shifts.
