Dr Mario Cavigelli resigns from the Board of Directors of rhiienergie. At the General Meeting in June 2023, he was also elected as the new Chairman of the Board. The Board has already arranged for the vacancy until the next General Meeting.
A few months ago, Dr Mario Cavigelli was elected as the representative of the Swiss cantons to the Board of Directors of Swissgrid, the national grid company based in Aarau. Holding mandates simultaneously at rhiienergie and Swissgrid is not compatible due to conflicts of interest. Therefore, Dr Mario Cavigelli informed the Board and Executive Management of rhiienergie of his resignation as Chairman of the Board as of mid-October. Both the Board and the Executive Management regret his departure and thank him for his great commitment during his tenure.
Elita Florin-Caluori will temporarily assume the duties of the Chairman of the Board in her role as Vice-Chairwoman until the end of the year. After the end of her regular term, she will be succeeded from 1 January 2025 by the newly elected Vice-Chairman Peter Camastral, elected at the last Board meeting. A nomination committee has been established for the reappointment of the Chairmanship of the Board. The election will take place at the next ordinary General Meeting on 13 June 2025.
