About the job
Are you about to obtain your specialist title in radiology or have you recently passed the exam? Now you are looking for your first senior physician position where you can develop professionally - without university pressure and high workload.
This modern radiology department near Zurich offers you exactly this entry: a broad diagnostic spectrum, a collegial team, and the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibility - with attractive working conditions, no night shifts, and only about five weekend shifts per year.
The regionally well-established acute hospital in the German-speaking part of Switzerland cares for a broad outpatient and inpatient patient base and has a modern radiology department with comprehensive diagnostic infrastructure. The department combines the advantages of a larger hospital with a personal and collegial environment.
We are deliberately not looking for a "finished" senior physician but for a motivated individual with enthusiasm for clinical radiology and the desire to develop long-term. Candidates from Germany planning to start in Switzerland are especially welcome.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent reporting of CT, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional X-ray examinations with professional exchange within an experienced team
- Radiological diagnostics for outpatient and inpatient patients
- Participation in interdisciplinary meetings and clinical exchange
- Opportunity to specialise in areas such as MSK or breast diagnostics
- Contribution to internal training and development of the department
Your skills:
- Specialist title in radiology (German or EU recognised; support with recognition in Switzerland through Medimeo) or alternatively in the final year before the specialist exam
- Initial experience in cross-sectional imaging diagnostics
- Interest in possible subspecialisation, especially in MSK or breast diagnostics
- Team-oriented and responsible working style
- Very good German language skills
Your benefits:
From the employer:
- Very good development opportunities for young specialists
- Modern radiological infrastructure with MRI, CT, mammography including Mammotome biopsies, interventional radiology
- Collegial team with good professional support
- No classic night shifts
- Late shifts only about every 10 days from 11 am to 8 pm
- Only around five weekends with on-call duty per year
- Flexible workloads between 80-100%
- Attractive remuneration with additional development potential
- Workplace in immediate proximity to Zurich
Additionally, you benefit from Medimeo:
- Personal support throughout the entire application process
- Assistance with recognition, relocation, and administrative questions in Switzerland
- Support with questions about cross-border commuter models or living situations in Switzerland
