Social Worker – 100% (Fixed-term contract of at least 6 months)

Our recruitment agency, mandated by one of its clients, a recognised player in the Geneva medico-social sector, is looking for a Social Worker for a fixed-term contract of at least 6 months at 100%.

You will join an institution known for its commitment to the elderly and become part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, where human values, quality of support and collaboration are at the heart of resident care.

Your duties

As a Social Worker, you will provide comprehensive support to residents and their relatives, ensuring the protection of their social, administrative and financial rights.

In particular, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing the social, administrative and financial situations of residents to identify their needs, resources and potential risk factors.
• Providing individual support to residents and their relatives, including in complex, sensitive or crisis situations.
• Handling procedures related to maintaining and securing social, financial and administrative rights in collaboration with competent bodies and the Geneva socio-health network.
• Creating, managing and updating administrative and social files, notably for social benefit applications, financial aid or adult protection measures.
• Collaborating with protection authorities, legal representatives and various institutional partners to ensure appropriate support.
• Preventing situations of hardship, isolation or rights breaches by seeking suitable solutions.
• Working closely with interdisciplinary teams as well as administrative and accounting services to ensure coordinated care.
• Participating in the admission, stay and discharge processes of residents, ensuring continuity of their social support.
• Ensuring the quality, confidentiality and traceability of interventions in compliance with legal frameworks and professional secrecy.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of practices and information sharing within the service.

Your profile

You are recognised for your listening skills, rigour and ability to support sometimes complex human situations.

You hold the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (Social Services orientation) or equivalent recognised diploma.
• At least 5 years of successful experience in a similar role.
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
• Experience in the medico-social sector or with elderly people is a real asset.
• Good knowledge of the Geneva socio-health network.
• Strong knowledge of social insurance and adult protection systems.
• Mastery of complex administrative procedures.
• Good command of common IT tools; knowledge of Sadies, Odoo and GestPlace is appreciated.
• Organisational skills, autonomy and administrative rigour.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and ability to work in a network.
• Analytical skills, prioritisation and emergency management capabilities.
• Stress resistance and sense of responsibility.
