Your New Role
Private support persons manage around 460 guardianships on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) Region St.Gallen (which includes the city of St.Gallen, Wittenbach, Häggenschwil, Muolen, and Eggersriet), mainly adult protection mandates and occasionally child protection mandates. The private support persons make a valuable contribution to supporting people in need. They form an important complement to professional guardians.
As a practice advisor, you recruit, mediate, qualify, and support committed volunteers and enable them to manage adult protection mandates. You advise the private support persons in the context of mandate management, organize courses and experience-sharing groups, conduct these, maintain documentation for the target group, provide regular information, and hold an annual appreciation event. In your diverse tasks, you maintain close communication with colleagues from the professional guardianship as well as the KESB audit office.

- have a tertiary degree in social work or law.
- have experience as a support person.

The professional guardianship with its 60 employees is a department of the Social Services. The practice advisory is organized as a staff unit and is part of the professional guardianship.
