We are looking for motivated and committed young people who want to shape the future with us. We offer our apprentices a solid education with a strong practical focus, as they are our specialists and leaders of tomorrow.
As a designer, you design and construct tools and equipment for the production of communication solutions, individual parts, and accessories using the latest CAD programs. You also create the necessary technical documents, instructions, and documentation. In this profession, you work closely with engineers and developers. The basic training in the first and second year is completed at Frimeca (in Villaz-Saint-Pierre, Canton of Fribourg). In several modules, you learn drawing standards, drawing contents, and basics of construction technology. In the following year, you deepen your basic knowledge and draw various plastic parts for wireless communication solutions and independently design production and test fixtures. During the specialized training, you actively participate in internal projects.

Duration of education
The vocational training as a designer lasts 4 years.
Vocational school / vocational baccalaureate
During the entire training period, you attend vocational school in Fribourg (GIBS) 1 to 2 days per week (Gewerbliche und Industrielle Berufsfachschule (GIBS) | Canton of Fribourg). If suitable, the vocational baccalaureate school can be attended during the basic training.
