Job Description
For our production site in Monthey, where our activities are mainly related to plant protection, we are looking for an apprentice Rail Transport Agent CFC!
In a setting where safety is the priority, the apprentice ensures the preparation and composition of trains intended for freight transport. He/She plans and coordinates railway maneuvers, thus ensuring the smoothness and safety of the site's rail operations.
More specifically:
- Composition and formation of freight trains;
- Planning and coordination of maneuvers;
- Driving locomotives (maneuvers);
- Coupling/uncoupling wagons;
- Technical checks and brake calculations;
- Loading/unloading;
- Safety and traffic regulations.
The training lasts 3 years and is accessible from the age of 16, after compulsory schooling. Professional courses will be held at the Nyon Commercial Vocational School (EPCN), one day per week. Inter-company courses will take place at login professional training SA, within CFF Cargo at Denges-Echandens (1st year: 4 days, 2nd year: 7 days, and 3rd year: 4 days). At the end of the apprenticeship, the apprentice receives, in addition to the Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC), their category A40 shunting driver license.
