The municipal council has elected Seraina Niederer from Rorschacherberg to the school management of Primary School Wittenbach. With her appointment as of 1 August 2026, she will lead the Steig school district together with Miriam Spirig and thus complement the operational management team of the primary school. Thanks to her work as a class teacher in Roggwil and St. Gallen, she brings valuable pedagogical know-how. In addition, she is committed as a trainee teacher and mentor at the PH St. Gallen. In this role, she has already gained initial experience in taking on leadership tasks. For further qualification, she will complete the CAS training in school management. Seraina Niederer thus succeeds Claudia Frei, who will take up her new role as co-principal of Primary School Wittenbach as of 1 August. The municipal council is pleased that a suitable headteacher has been found in Seraina Niederer and already warmly welcomes her to the community of Wittenbach.
