Intern Youth and Family Counselling kjz Winterthur 80%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counselling. The kjz Winterthur, as one of a total of 15 child and youth welfare centres in the canton of Zurich, ensures a uniform, regionally and municipally well-founded service provision in the areas of youth and family counselling, parenting counselling, mother and father counselling as well as child protection. The kjz Winterthur is the mandate centre for child protection for the KESB Winterthur.
The kjz Winterthur offers two students from a Swiss University of Applied Sciences, specialising in Social Work, a training place for 6 months for the 2nd internship starting 1 March 2027.
As part of the internship, you will gain insight into the following activities:
- Conducting civil law child protection measures and investigations on behalf of authorities and courts
- Clarifying concerns of children, young people, mothers and fathers and initiating supportive measures
- Advising and supporting parents in fulfilling their parenting duties
- Writing applications and reports to authorities and courts
You will have the opportunity to get to know the diverse range of services offered by kjz Winterthur and will be systematically introduced to our tasks. You can expect a lively, varied activity in an institution where interdisciplinary and networked collaboration takes place with other areas of the overall institution.
