Legal Service, Health Office Graubünden | 80-100% | Chur
The Health Office is a central service unit of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. It enforces federal and cantonal legal provisions and thus makes a significant contribution to a high-quality, safe, and sustainable healthcare system in the canton.
The office is divided into the following specialist areas: permits and supervision of health professions and institutions, cantonal medical service, medicinal and narcotics control, finance and controlling, health promotion and prevention, as well as the Graubünden sanitary emergency call.
The Legal Service plays a central role in supervising persons and businesses in the healthcare sector. It advises and supports the office and the specialist departments in all legal matters, provides legal information in health law, and coordinates the enforcement of compulsory health insurance. Furthermore, the Legal Service actively participates in legislative projects and ordinance revisions and is responsible for drafting orders and administrative law contracts.
To strengthen the Legal Service of the Health Office, we are looking for an experienced legal assistant or legal officer with solid knowledge of the Swiss legal system to start immediately or by arrangement.
- Participation in legislative revisions (including drafting legal texts, conducting consultation procedures, and preparing draft messages)
- Drafting official orders and assisting in the preparation and conceptualization of departmental orders and government decisions
- Editing administrative law contracts
- Conducting supervisory administrative and disciplinary procedures, procedures concerning release from professional secrecy, as well as misdemeanor proceedings, especially procedural management and drafting of public health police orders
- Preparing consultations for the department or the federal government
- Legal clarifications in the health sector and providing information to authorities, private individuals, etc.
- Completed studies in law (licentiate or MLaw)
- Several years of professional experience in public administration, judiciary, or legal practice in Switzerland
- Independent, structured, and careful working style
- Linguistic proficiency, confident oral and written expression in German, as well as very good IT skills
- Interest in political processes and contexts
- Team spirit, flexibility, and enjoyment of versatile and interdisciplinary work
- Ideally, you master several cantonal languages
