The EKT builds and operates the infrastructure for energy supply and digitalization in Thurgau, contributing to the energy future. In addition, it operates a cantonal data communication network and its own data center in Frauenfeld. Furthermore, EKT buys and sells electricity throughout Switzerland and advocates for sustainable electricity and heat generation.

Project Manager Engineering 80-100%

In our team of plant engineering, projects for the renovation and new construction of substations and switching stations of EKT are processed in the medium and high voltage area. The team is responsible for the planning of the switching systems, transformer systems, and other technical systems. You are responsible within the team for the implementation of sub-projects or as the overall project manager, always keeping deadlines, costs, and quality in check.

In this exciting environment, you can expect the following tasks:

• Financial, qualitative, timely, and technical responsibility for your projects
• Planning of the systems while considering the requirements of the network operation as well as existing concepts and standards
• Device and system selection, creation of technical specifications, tenders, parameterization, assembly support, functional testing, and commissioning
• Schema creation using E-Plan
• Collaboration in internal and external working groups

You have experience in project management and possess an electrical engineering basic education with further training as a FH electrical engineer, HF electrical technician, or have another interesting career path that qualifies you for these tasks. The energy supply sector is undergoing a significant transformation towards digitalization. Therefore, you have a high affinity for networked systems and IT, are always in tune with technology, and are motivated to apply this knowledge in practice.
