Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Workplace: Winterthur

Workload: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for defined areas of monthly and annual financial statements according to Swiss accounting standards (OR)
• Preparation and reconciliation of accruals, provisions, intercompany transactions, and general ledger accounts
• Ensuring high data quality as well as compliance with internal policies and control frameworks
• Contact person for internal and external audits
• Support and coaching of team members in accounting matters as well as promoting a culture of quality, structure, and continuous learning within the team
• Maintaining close communication with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and contributing to process optimization in collaboration with other departments (SCM, Sales, etc.)
• Analysis and improvement of end-to-end financial processes (Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report)
• Participation in ERP developments and digitization initiatives
• You critically question existing accounting processes and tools, bring in optimization ideas, and drive their implementation forward

Your profile

• Advanced professional training in finance and accounting (at least a federal diploma in finance and accounting or equivalent)
• 6–8 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international and/or industrial environment
• Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (OR), direct & indirect tax topics
• Proficient use of SAP ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and high reliability
• Enjoyment in knowledge transfer and supporting colleagues
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently
• Clear communication and cooperative attitude
• Fluent German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
