About the job
23.09.2025
Along the noise barrier at the A13 motorway near Felsberg, the substructure for the extension of the solar system has been installed. The installation of the solar panels is expected to take place at the beginning of 2026.
The extension of the existing solar system on the A13 was already announced in autumn 2024. The substructure for additional modules has been ready since last November; originally, the installation of the panels was planned for spring 2025.
The installation of the substructure was approved by the Federal Roads Office. A review of the approval by the Office for Spatial Development Graubünden resulted in the transfer to a formal approval procedure. Although this caused delays, it does not change the goal: with the extension, electricity will be produced in future for around 190 four-person households. At the same time, the system will grow from the previous 800 to a new length of 1900 metres.
The existing system has been successfully in operation for 35 years and has always made an important contribution to sustainable energy supply. The approval procedure is still ongoing, with completion expected by the end of this month. The installation of the modules can begin at the start of next year. Until the end of this year, the rhiienergie installation teams are still fully occupied with numerous other photovoltaic projects in Graubünden.
