Apprenticeship as Logistics Specialist EFZ
The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. At PSI, we conduct cutting-edge research in the fields of future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation, as well as the fundamentals of nature.
The Materials Service is responsible for the procurement, disposition, storage and distribution of over 13,000 items, the assortment design as well as the operation of the online shop through which our PSI customers can access the product range. In addition to the online ordering option, the Materials Service offers product advice and on-site collection via the customer counter.
For the PSI Materials Service we offer from August 2027 a
Your daily work during the apprenticeship
- During your training, you will get to know our operating system (SAP), our online shop and the product range
- You will be actively introduced to all work processes of our modern logistics
- You check the delivered goods and post them in our operating system
- You pick goods, prepare them for dispatch and post the outgoing goods in our operating system
- You carry out inventory counts via tablet
- You advise customers at our customer counter
- You organise internal transports
