Do you like to take on responsibility and can you set priorities correctly? Do you remain calm in hectic situations and can you react quickly and purposefully? Do you like to have an overview and want to contribute to a well-functioning public transport system? Then after the 8-month training, you will be in your element with us.
Your tasks
- You lead and monitor shunting and train operations on the SZU network (S4 and S10).
- In case of operational deviations, you initiate appropriate measures and coordinate train traffic and personnel.
- You are responsible for the deployment planning of the vehicles.
- You ensure customer information in normal operations and especially during
operational disruptions and irregularities. - You create and coordinate operational orders and processes.
Your key competencies
- You have completed a 3-year vocational training or the Matura.
- In hectic situations, you remain calm and prioritize the tasks at hand quickly and correctly.
- You like to take on responsibility and ensure the safety of rail traffic and our passengers with your decisions and actions.
- You have a quick grasp, are strong in communication, and are confident in negotiations in German, both orally and in writing.
- You are a team player, are willing to work shifts (24-hour operation), and have good IT skills.
- Your color vision is impeccable (no red-green color blindness).
The training in detail
In just eight months, you will qualify as a train dispatcher and complete the training with the theoretical and practical skills examination. Together with aspiring train dispatchers from other railway companies (EVU), you will complete the modular training. The SZU covers the costs and pays you throughout the entire training period. After successful completion, a permanent position as a train dispatcher at the Zurich Giesshübel location awaits you.
