Job description
Foyer du Vallon is a medico-social establishment (EMS) whose mission is to welcome elderly blind or visually impaired people, offering them a quality living environment that promotes the maintenance of their autonomy and independence.
Your mission:
Reporting to the management of the establishment, you ensure the management of the technical service and guarantee the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents. In this capacity, you:
- Organise, plan and ensure the smooth running of the technical service (electricity, plumbing, heating, carpentry, telephony, water treatment);
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and installations;
- Supervise and manage the technical team under your responsibility;
- Manage the budget for routine and exceptional works and optimise costs;
- Select, supervise and coordinate external service providers;
- Guarantee fire safety and compliance with MSST standards, and organise safety training for staff;
- Participate, as a member of the Management Committee, in the strategic and operational management of the EMS;
- Ensure the proper functioning of IT infrastructure, telephony, access control and connected technical equipment; perform first-level diagnostics, coordinate specialised providers and participate in the digital development projects of the establishment.
Profile sought
Training
- Federal VET Diploma in a building trade, operations agent or equivalent qualification;
- Fire Safety Officer (fire training, etc.);
- Experience in occupational safety and health protection (or equivalent diploma);
- Supervision of apprentices.
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a building trade or technical operations;
- Proven experience in project and site management;
- Experience in team management and budget management (cost monitoring and budget preparation)
Technical skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction, renovation and maintenance of installations;
- Mastery of safety rules, ergonomics and MSST standards;
- Comfortable with IT tools and open to new technologies;
- Driving licence; spoken and written French at C2 level.
Personal and interpersonal skills
- Rigour, autonomy, initiative, versatility, listening skills and sense of hospitality;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation and conflict management abilities;
- Ability to unite a team and collaborate with the various departments of the establishment;
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage several activities simultaneously in a demanding environment.
