The Office for Statistics and Data (SDA) coordinates the cantonal system of public statistics. We are responsible for managing, storing, documenting and disseminating the canton’s statistical information. Our mission includes supporting the authorities by enhancing the use of data in decision-making, particularly by utilising cantonal data through Open Data and internal dashboards.

Your tasks
- Data utilisation strategy: Implement the strategy as the responsible specialist and ensure that projects meet the requirements of the canton and users
- Open Data and KPIs: Promote Open Data and utilise relevant internal data in collaboration with administrative units
- Data Governance: Ensure data governance to guarantee the quality of data utilisation
- Team leadership: Lead a team of 2–3 employees in the Data section and coordinate projects
- Communication: Build and maintain constructive collaboration with stakeholders to align objectives
- Pipelines: Plan and maintain data pipelines using technologies such as Python and CI/CD
Desired profile
- Tertiary education (FH, UNI) in Data Science or Business Informatics or equivalent recognised experience
- Proven experience in leading teams and complex projects, ideally related to data products
- Knowledge of the principles of Open Government Data
- Experience in Data Governance
- Excellent communication skills and social competence
- Solid knowledge of Python and ideally knowledge of Power BI
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
