To strengthen our purchasing team, we are looking for a

Head of Technical Purchasing (m/f/d)

• Operational management and development of the Technical Purchasing team (12 employees)
• Responsibility for the entire procurement process in the technical area
• Responsibility for procurement in large projects, maintenance, servicing, and various small procurements
• Coordination with engineering, project engineering, and operations engineering on technical and commercial issues
• Conducting negotiations with suppliers in consultation with the technical managers in the project team or cost center managers
• Responsible for supplier management: selection, qualification, and development of suppliers in the technical area
• Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes and guidelines

• Completed engineering degree with project and leadership experience or completed technical training with further education in purchasing as well as several years of leadership experience are required
• Technical understanding of machines, systems, and services, ideally experience with technical applications in the chemical process industry
• Authentic and skilled negotiator of complex contracts
• Structured, solution-oriented, and team-capable working style
• Integrity, a winning personality with healthy assertiveness, entrepreneurial thinking, and acting independently and responsibly
• Flexible, open, and curious personality with a strong willingness to perform
• Native German speaker and good English skills (written/spoken)
• Cost awareness as well as reliability and decisiveness
• Very confident ERP and MS Office skills applied in a professional environment
