We are looking for an Oracle Database Engineer (m/f/d) with the following tasks:
Operation, maintenance, installation, and design of Oracle databases
Management and improvement of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) databases
Ensuring high availability, replication with Oracle Data Guard, and disaster recovery solutions
Performance optimization and resource optimization for various database applications
Analysis and troubleshooting of problems in the database environment
Automation of database administration and maintenance activities using scripting skills (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell, Perl)
Technical support for the core banking application and the underlying databases
Creation and maintenance of documentation for infrastructures and databases
Ability to develop and implement concepts, standards, and best practices for Oracle databases
Participation in various projects in the database environment in collaboration with other IT teams
Identification and evaluation of new technologies that improve the scalability and robustness of our ecosystem
Understanding and compliance with the company's risk and regulatory standards
Escalation of risk-related issues to management when necessary
Participation in an on-call service to ensure database availability around the clock
Completed technical studies (e.g., computer science, information technology) or equivalent professional experience
Experience in Oracle database administration and strong interest in deepening this expertise
Experience in UNIX server administration
Practical experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard database administration
Practical experience operating databases on Exadata clusters
Experience in scripting (SQL, PL/SQL, Shell, Perl) is an advantage
Good English skills, both spoken and written
Strong interest and motivation to proactively drive projects and infrastructures forward
Balanced, resilient, and team-oriented personality with a precise, reliable, and independent working style
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a high degree of initiative and motivation
Quick thinking, pronounced customer and service orientation
Interest in current technical market developments with the ability to derive appropriate measures and successfully implement them in the system environment
