Main missions

The role consists of implementing municipal policies for the management of wastewater and clear water, ensuring compliance with current legislation. It involves supervising the planning, control, and maintenance of drainage infrastructure, monitoring compliance with legal requirements, and contributing to the integrated management of the water cycle within the municipal territory.

Conditions of engagement

• holding an engineering degree, EPF or HES, in the water field or equivalent experience considered;
• having several years of professional experience in water management within a public administration or an engineering office;
• demonstrating good knowledge of the legal and regulatory bases related to the water sector and understanding the principles of sponge city while being able to apply them at the scale of a project as well as a neighborhood;
• having completed VSA training as "Specialist in property water drainage", "Specialist in PGEE" or "Specialist in urban sanitation data" would be an advantage;
• possessing very good command of common computer software and using GIS tools;
• perfect command of the French language (spoken and written); knowledge of German would be an asset;
• holding a driving license for motor vehicles;
• having the following social skills and aptitudes: evaluation, analysis and synthesis skills, solution-oriented, interpersonal ease and communication skills, autonomy at work, organizational sense, team spirit, initiative and rigor.

Salary

According to the personnel regulations of the City of Sion and the Municipality's salary scale.
