The Office for Spatial Development and Geoinformation of the Canton of St.Gallen (AREG) is responsible for spatial development policy, official surveying, and the provision of geoinformation for the Department of Construction and Environment.
The Geoinformation Department acts as a competence center on behalf of eGovernment St.Gallen, providing digital services for the joint geodata infrastructure of the Canton of St.Gallen and the St.Gallen municipalities. It supports cantonal specialist offices with all GIS-related questions and takes the lead in the procurement and management of geobase data.
