Apprentice: Draftsperson EFZ for 2027

Area of work:

Draftspersons work together with engineers and specialists to transform ideas into technical products. They develop, model and design individual parts and assemblies and create the necessary manufacturing documents on the computer using the latest CAD programmes.

Draftspersons prepare documents for the production, assembly, operation and maintenance of devices, machines and systems. This also includes accompanying the prototype phase and creating product descriptions, technical data as well as operating and maintenance instructions.

Requirements:

• Enjoyment of geometry, mathematics and physics
• Strong spatial imagination and technical understanding
• Enjoyment of working on the computer
• Careful and precise working method
• Good to very good secondary school student

Training:

• Duration of apprenticeship: 4 years
• Vocational school: BZWU Uzwil
