About the job
Important information for transporters
The electronic accompanying document can initially be used for transports between animal holdings and to the new Bell Oensingen slaughterhouse,
- if the delivering and receiving animal holdings use the TVD app;
- if the involved drivers use the e-transit app.
Check with your client or your dispatch whether e-transit can be used.
Registration and login: Your transport company must be registered with e-transit. Each driver requires an Agate account.
► Data transfer
Simply take over data by scanning the QR code from the animal holding or the previous transporter.
► Everything in view
All important information is clearly displayed. Special features (sick/injured, pregnant, medicated or BVD-restricted animals, veterinary certificates) are indicated with symbols.
► Document times
Loading and unloading times are saved at the push of a button. Deviating driving times can be entered if necessary.
► Flexible handover
The data is grouped by destination in the app. The app allows flexible handover of individual animals, groups or all loaded animals with a QR code.
► Offline functions
If the animal holder is not on site when loading or there is no mobile reception, they should share the data via WhatsApp or email. They can also provide a printout with the QR code. As soon as mobile reception is available again, the transport can be started digitally.
► Non-digital fallback
If the destination operation or the next loading transporter does not work digitally, the action "Switch to paper process" must be triggered after unloading. The generated PDF can be shared via WhatsApp or email with the next actor. Once switched to the paper process, digital work is no longer possible.
via the e-transit app
"The e-transit app makes my work easier: With one QR code I can take over or hand over an item or even a whole lorry. I see the most important information at a glance. The tedious recording of times on each accompanying document is no longer necessary."
Marc Wüthrich, driver from the practical tests*
*e-transit was tested and optimised over several months as part of practical tests involving 17 animal holders and seven livestock transport drivers.
► What if not all parties work digitally?
Then a media disruption occurs and a switch to paper may be necessary. Therefore, prior coordination is advisable.
► Is e-transit usable for deliveries to markets?
No, not for now. We are in contact with the markets to enable this in the future.
