For the Dietlikon location, we are looking for a Forward Deployed Process Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• Project and Customer Responsibility:

  • Technical responsibility in digitization projects

  • Analysis of development, testing, and production processes in a manufacturing industry environment

  • Development and implementation of robust, practical digitization and automation solutions

  • Development of LLM-based assistance systems in engineering and production environments

  • System-wide thinking across discipline and tool boundaries

  • Contact person for customers, internal engineering teams, and partners

• Process Optimization in Production:

  • Systematic process analysis, visualization, and optimization (Six Sigma experience is an advantage)

  • Integration and optimization of production, testing, and automation systems (including MES, dashboards)

  • Application of data analysis for process, quality, and throughput analysis as well as root cause analysis of errors and deviations

  • Design and deployment of edge computing solutions for local data processing, real-time analyses, and industrial AI applications (including AI vision, sensor fusion, predictive quality)

• R&D Process Digitization:

  • Integration and further development of existing engineering toolchains (including PLM, configurators) 

  • Understanding of workflows related to the development of complex mechatronic systems 

  • Ensuring traceability between requirements, models, tests, and production

  • Experience with implementation of the V-model, model-based code generation, or generally MBSE is an advantage

  • AI workflows e.g. for compiling technical requirements and compliance documents, orchestrating technical documentation, analyzing logs and test results, knowledge management, and engineering support

Your Qualifications

• University degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or comparable

• Affinity for LLMs and AI-supported systems with understanding of industrial requirements and limitations

• Very good practical knowledge in programming/scripting (e.g. Python, C/C++)

• Several years of experience in an industrial or R&D-related environment

• Very good understanding of data analysis and data pipelines, as well as interfaces of industrial systems

• Fluent in German (French or English is an advantage) 

• Solution-oriented, team player, and sociable
