About the job
Würth AG is part of the globally active Würth Group and a market leader in the trade of assembly and fastening materials. With over 650 employees in Switzerland, we develop solutions that make the planning, construction, and operation of buildings more efficient, economical, and safer. To strengthen our technical sales team, we are looking for you as a Project & Sales Engineer for Anchor and Fixing Technology (TKAM), who applies their know-how from civil engineering not only in the office but also directly on the construction site and with customers.
Tasks
- Technical support and further development of engineering and planning offices, general/total contractors, and executing construction companies in the field of mechanical and chemical anchoring technology.
- Technical product and system presentations to decision-makers, structural engineers, project managers, and site managers (load transfer, preliminary calculations, ETA verifications)
- Support of large projects from early planning to execution:
Dimensioning of fastening points, support with tenders, project-specific solutions, technical clarification on the construction site
- Analysis and assessment of structural calculations, anchoring details as well as creation/checking/optimization of fastening verifications (e.g.
e.g., using design software)
- Building new project partnerships and expanding focus customers (Engineering Sales – technical, consulting, not a "classic sales role")
- Close cooperation with sales, product management, application technology, and internal service
- Monitoring market, standards, and technology trends (e.g.
e.g., new ETAs, concrete properties, modular construction methods) and conveying know-how in internal trainings/workshops
Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering (FH, HF or ETH) or comparable technical education in structural engineering
- Several years of professional experience in structural planning, construction supervision, fastening technology, or structural engineering
- Confident in reading and interpreting structural calculations, plans, reinforcement models, and anchoring details
- Enjoyment of technical customer consulting and the interface of engineering × sales
- Independent, solution-oriented working style – both on the construction site and in project processing
