Career, Study and Vocational Counsellor 70 - 90%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is part of the Education Directorate and is responsible for child and youth welfare, career counselling, and scholarship allocation. It provides various counselling and support services centrally and decentrally at several locations in the canton of Zurich.
The biz Winterthur is one of 7 biz centres in the canton of Zurich and is responsible for the city of Winterthur and the districts of Winterthur and Andelfingen. Through a wide range of offerings, biz Winterthur supports both young people and adults in their entire education, career choice, and vocational path. This is done in the form of individual counselling, diagnostic assessments, information events, seminars, and the use of the information centre.
To complement our team, we are looking for a sociable, humorous, and service-oriented personality who is committed to our clients and our organisation.
From 1 October 2026, we are seeking a career, study and vocational counsellor with a workload of 70 – 90%, limited until the end of 2027 (with the option of extension).
Main tasks:
- Advising young people and their parents in connection with their first career choice
- Collaboration with schools (class and parent orientations, school office hours and other school-related activities)
- Advising adults
- Information desk service
- Organisation and execution of events
Requirements:
- Completed or ongoing training in career, study and vocational counselling (mandatory)
- University degree in psychology or a related field
- Work experience with young people and adults
