Who we are
The Finance Department is responsible for calculating and disbursing contribution payments to school communities, special and music schools, as well as their professional support in financial and administrative matters. In the Finance Special Schools, Services and Teacher Classifications division, we shape the framework conditions for a modern and future-oriented educational landscape in the canton of Thurgau with clear financial control instruments.
We are looking for a
Your tasks
- Professional and personnel management of the Finance Special Schools, Services and Teacher Classifications division
- Strategic and operational further development of the division
- Ensuring the financing and monitoring of integration courses
- Review of the billing of music schools
- Financial supervision and consulting of special schools
- Statistics, reporting, projections and preparation of decision-making and planning bases for budgeting and control
- Representation of the canton in cantonal and inter-cantonal committees
Your profile
- Completed commercial basic training with mandatory business management further education
- Several years of professional experience in finance or accounting, ideally in the public sector or in the education/social sector
- Experience in managing employees
- Strong understanding of process optimization and a high affinity for digitalization
- Analytical, structured and independent working style as well as confidence in dealing with numbers
- High communication skills and enjoyment in working with different stakeholders
- A meaningful leadership role at the interface of education, social affairs, finance and personnel
- A versatile and responsible area of responsibility with scope for design and influence on the further development of processes and structures
- A motivated, professionally skilled team as well as close cooperation with the Finance Department management and other specialist areas
