- 50 – 100%
- Permanent position
- 3004 Bern
About the job
You want to practise internal medicine at a high level but do not necessarily want to commit to a single area? Here you have the opportunity to shape your focus according to your interests: purely inpatient internal medicine, interdisciplinary emergency medicine, or a combination of both worlds.
You will become part of the Department of General Internal Medicine of an established private hospital network in Bern. This department is responsible for the internal medical care of three closely interconnected clinics that complement each other medically and are located only a short distance apart.
The modern internal medicine department currently has 12 beds and works closely with various surgical specialist clinics. In addition, the department operates the emergency departments of all three clinics and ensures internal medical consultation services.
The special appeal of this position lies in the exceptionally broad medical spectrum. While one location is particularly characterised by orthopaedics, urology, as well as gynaecology and obstetrics, another location focuses on cardiology, visceral surgery, thoracic surgery, and vascular surgery. A third location primarily covers orthopaedics, sports medicine, and outpatient acute care. This results in exciting interdisciplinary questions and a great variety of clinical cases every day.
Despite the size of the network, the culture is described by many employees as familial. The hierarchies are flat, the distances short, and the informal "du" culture is actively lived. The close collaboration with numerous attending physicians from various specialties, which enables uncomplicated professional exchange, is particularly appreciated.
