What you can achieve with us

The residential school combines a class for children and young people on the autism spectrum with a supervised residential group during school weeks. Additionally, individual relief weekends are offered. You will carry out your shifts during the school weeks on Monday and Wednesday evenings as well as occasionally on Friday evenings from 7:00 pm to approx. 10:00 pm. Afterwards, you stay overnight on site as on-call staff and are available if pupils are restless or require individual support. In the morning, you report to the day shift and finish your shift around 8:00 am.

What you bring with you

We are looking for a team-oriented, motivated and empathetic personality with experience in working with people on the autism spectrum and with challenging behaviours. You are characterised by an independent and reliable way of working and are physically and mentally resilient. You are also willing to reflect on your behaviour and develop further. Good oral and written communication skills and willingness to work irregular hours complete your profile.

We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Young People Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organisation with a non-profit objective. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood.
We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public schools and special primary schools as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the support and accompaniment of young people with visual impairment, blindness, multiple disabilities or from the autism spectrum.
