Since 2023, Sommerau Schulen AG has been operating a small clinic school on two wards on behalf of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Baselland in Liestal. Sommerau Schulen AG maintains various special education school programmes at primary and secondary levels on behalf of the canton of Basel-Landschaft.

In the clinic school of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Baselland (KJPBL), pupils are taught and supported in small learning groups during an inpatient stay with the aim of ensuring a reintegration into their regular school routine.

To strengthen our clinic school in the ICU (Intensive Therapy Unit), we are looking for a

Teacher SEK I/II or School Special Needs Educator 40-45%

Collaboration with a colleague and coordination with the ward are important for the school.

Your background

You have a recognised teaching diploma with or without additional special education training.

You are proficient in several subjects and confident to teach outside your specialism.

Ideally, you have experience in leading, teaching and supporting mixed-age and mixed-ability classes and in dealing with behaviourally challenging adolescents.

You are a team player, resilient and have a humorous, confident attitude.

You are confident to master difficult situations together with the team.
