Job Description
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva benefits from an enriching multicultural dynamic to which it contributes through its influence within the framework of its mandates: teaching, research and its partnership with the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).
In order to strengthen its team within the Common Services, it is opening an application for a position of
Scientific Collaborator 2
at 50%
TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
TEACHING AND SUPERVISION OF STUDENTS:
- Train on FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Raise awareness of data management issues and conduct practical workshops.
- Develop communication materials.
- Share best practices.
- Prepare course materials.
- Support programme leaders for the integration of data management.
RESEARCH:
- Implement and monitor protocols for data collection, structuring, sharing, analysis and enhancement.
- Manage the deposit and archiving of research data.
- Lead scientific follow-up meetings, coordinate partners (internal/external) and actively participate in funding applications to support data management.
- Design data flows and analyse laboratory practices.
- Contribute to the publication of datasets.
- Propose and develop new data management strategies, ensuring their coherence with institutional priorities and integrating innovative approaches (experimental methods, data management and enhancement).
- Propose medium and long-term data development plans.
Required Title and Skills
REQUIRED TITLE:
Doctorate in sciences or equivalent
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Experience in maintaining scientific tools and monitoring the lifecycle of research projects
- Team spirit, collegiality
- Fluency in French, very good level of English
