About the job
The responsibility for prosecuting cybercrime lies with the cantons – our Digital Crime Department is the central point of contact for all investigations in cyberspace.
Your tasks
- Leading complex investigations in the field of cybercrime with high technical, time, and administrative demands
- Planning and operational management of deployments in close cooperation with Digital Forensics
- Analysis and evaluation of digital traces as well as deriving targeted investigative measures
- International cooperation, including participation in meetings with foreign partner authorities and drafting international requests via European and worldwide police networks (partly in English)
- Professional support, training, and advising the police force as well as deepening expertise in specialized areas (e.g., online research or cryptocurrencies)
Your profile
- Completed higher education in computer science, criminology, forensics, law, or a related field
- Solid IT knowledge and ideally experience in criminal or security police environments or investigative journalism
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to grasp complex issues in a structured manner
- Very good written and oral expression in German as well as good English skills
- High resilience, structured handling of a large workload, discretion in dealing with sensitive information, teamwork skills, willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration and active knowledge transfer, as well as motivation for continuous further education in a rapidly developing field
