You will take on a central role with plenty of scope for creativity, where you combine technical excellence, strategic thinking, and cross-departmental collaboration. Your area of responsibility
- You take overall responsibility for the infrastructure components of ETCS Level 1 (European Train Control System for spot train monitoring and speed control) throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- You develop product strategies including market analyses and profitability considerations in close cooperation with Sales.
- You manage and coordinate cross-departmentally development, planning, service, and sales with the aim of realising customer-oriented and economical solutions.
- You actively support sales in international tenders and contribute your product expertise purposefully.
- You act as a technical contact person for customers as well as internal stakeholders and translate requirements into viable product solutions.
- You position your product internally and externally – e.g. through technical contributions, customer events, and trade fair appearances.
Talents and experience
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to navigate confidently in a complex technical and organisational environment.
- Strong communication skills, persuasiveness, and enjoyment in moderating different interests with confidence.
- Experience in product management of technical systems, ideally in the field of electronic hardware components.
- Completed technical studies (FH/ETH) in electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a comparable discipline; business knowledge is an advantage.
- Knowledge of railway safety technology / ERTMS is a plus.
- Fluent German and English skills.
