Job description
The Expropriation Commission deals with all valuation matters that the expropriation law does not assign to another authority, as well as claims for compensation due to material expropriation. It also exercises the powers that other provisions of cantonal law confer on the expropriation judge, formally or by equivalent expressions (art. 3), for example claims for compensation from an owner to their neighbour, under the spatial planning and construction law.
Desired profile
- The Judicial Council is looking for a vice-president holding a lawyer's certificate, a licence or a master’s degree in law, or with experience in the judicial field, with knowledge of Fribourg administrative law, particularly in construction and spatial planning (planning). Some availability for attending meetings and drafting texts is required. This is a part-time activity (approx. 10%) carried out irregularly.
- Active citizenship at the cantonal level. Foreign nationals must hold a settlement permit and have been domiciled in the canton for at least five years. Candidates must not be subject to bankruptcy proceedings, nor have been criminally convicted for acts incompatible with the position.
- Proficiency in German with very good knowledge of French.
