Activities
- Strategic procurement of goods, consumables, and services taking into account the public procurement law for the city administration as well as external customers according to the Logistics Bern ordinance
- Conducting public tenders for the assigned product groups
- Proactive and independent work in the areas of product group, supplier, and stakeholder management
- Assistance in building and developing the new purchasing organization
- Collaboration and leadership in cross-departmental projects and processes, e.g., in sustainable procurement, process optimization, benchmarking, risk management, or cost analysis
Profile
- Several years of experience in strategic procurement (including public procurement law)
- Higher vocational (university of applied sciences) degree in business administration or equivalent qualification including additional training (at least or similar) to the federal diploma as a purchasing specialist or equivalent
- High service and customer orientation, precise, efficient, and responsible way of working
- Confident handling of digital procurement tools and proficient use of MS Office applications (especially Excel analysis)
- Strong communication skills and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
