About the job
The HSG Writing Lab is the University of St.Gallen's Centre for Academic Writing. We support students in developing their academic writing skills. To this end, we provide individual and group consultations, deliver workshops on all aspects of academic writing, and host several special events (Night of Writing Skills, Citation Day, etc.). We also design academic writing resources, which we provide to the HSG community through our Canvas-based Community Space.
Your tasks
- Advise students at our weekly academic writing helpdesk and at our special events
- Support the core team in designing and delivering academic writing workshops
- Support the core team in creating academic writing materials in various media
Your profile
You will have an excellent command of spoken and written English (native speaker, true bilingual, or C2). A good working knowledge of German would be a further asset. You will be either working towards your bachelor's degree or beginning your master's degree. You will have proven experience of academic writing, good interpersonal skills, and a genuine willingness to help other students build their academic writing skills. You will be able to earn a certificate as a “Peer Writing Tutor.”
