Finance and Accounting Specialist 80 – 100 %
Are you a numbers architect and good at handling change? Our finance team is responsible for the accounting of the four business areas of WAS. The accounting is maintained on various systems for the federal government (SECO and BSV) as well as for the delegated tasks from the canton. Our team is facing an exciting transformation process: we will introduce a new ERP system that will fundamentally optimise our work processes. As our new team member, you will take on diverse and responsible tasks in the business areas WAS wira and WAS Immobilien AG. Your starting date is negotiable.
Your tasks
- Together with other specialists, you manage the accounting for the unemployment insurance (labour market and unemployment fund) of the canton as well as for WAS Immobilien AG.
- You prepare budgets, financial statements and forecasts together with other specialists.
- You are jointly responsible for the payment and posting of salaries and social benefits.
- You ensure liquidity management and cash flow together with other team members.
- You assist in managing the subsidiary ledgers (creditors, debtors and asset accounting).
- You participate in working groups and projects and contribute your expertise.
Your skills
- You have completed a commercial basic education with additional training, e.g. a professional certificate in finance and accounting, or are currently in training.
- You bring several years of professional experience in finance and accounting and are proficient in annual financial statements.
- You are proficient in various Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and have experience using SAP.
- You actively contribute, help shape processes and approach complex requirements with commitment and solution orientation.
- You are characterised by an independent, responsible and service-oriented way of working.

Wirtschaft Arbeit Soziales is the Lucerne centre for social insurance and the labour market. The business area WAS Services offers diverse support to the umbrella organisation and the other associated business areas of the compensation office, IV and wira. We are relocating; from 5 June 2026 the new workplace will be at Langsägestrasse 13, 6010 Kriens (Eichhof West).
