Teaching Assistant (m/f/d)

The Zurich-Basel Plant Science Center (PSC) was founded in 1998. It is a competence center for plant and environmental sciences of the three universities ETH Zurich, University of Zurich and University of Basel. The PSC includes 50 research groups with around 600 employees.
Project Background
Since 2022, we have been developing teaching visits and teaching units for vocational schools in the areas of cook EFZ; system catering specialist EFZ , translating research-based findings for the new framework curricula and creating learning units.
Job Description
Assistance in creating learning units (educational games, videos and tasks) in the areas of:
- Implementation of the Planetary Health Diet and food pyramid in the kitchen
- Plant proteins and their combinations
- Process-oriented cooking with legumes and other plant proteins
Teaching visits and maintenance of the network at vocational schools.
Profile
The task requires:
- Ongoing or completed Bachelor/Master in the field of nutritional economics, food sciences or related fields
- Knowledge and interest e.g. in the new food pyramid and the Planetary Health Diet
- First teaching experience
- Excellent German skills. Confident in written language and very good oral expression
- Enjoy translating content into simple teaching language and teaching materials
