About the job
What you can achieve
- Independent diagnostic work in the histopathological assessment of gynaecological specimens and breast specimens from a large university referral base
- Participation in intraoperative frozen section examinations
- Active involvement in interdisciplinary tumour boards, especially within the Breast Centre and gynaecological tumour boards
- Close clinical-pathological collaboration with the clinical partners of the University Hospital Basel
- Contribution to the training and education of assistant physicians as well as the opportunity to participate in scientific projects with access to modern infrastructure in molecular pathology, digital pathology and translational research
What you bring with you
- Specialist title in Pathology (FMH or equivalent recognition)
- Solid experience in histopathological diagnostics
- Demonstrated interest or existing expertise in gynaecological and breast pathology
- Interest in interdisciplinary clinical collaboration and tumour boards
- Motivation to contribute to teaching and research in a university environment as well as interest in further developing your own professional and scientific profile
