Assistant Physician, Specialist in Vascular Surgery
(100%)
HFR Fribourg – Cantonal Hospital is the reference hospital of the canton. It has
300 beds distributed across eight clinics. The surgery clinic is classified in category A for FMH recognition of postgraduate training in surgery and in category B for vascular surgery. It currently has 55 beds for more than 2,700 annual admissions and over 3,500 interventions. The surgical spectrum of vascular surgery includes surgery of the lower and upper limbs, carotid surgery, abdominal aortic surgery, amputations and wound treatment, venous surgery, access for hemodialysis, and endovascular treatments. These treatments are carried out in a multidisciplinary manner in very close collaboration with the radiology and angiography departments. As a regional reference center for vascular surgery, a high level of emergency activity is ensured, and the technical platform allows for the management of complex cases.

HFR Fribourg – Cantonal Hospital is the cantonal reference hospital. It has 300 beds, distributed across eight clinics. The clinic for general surgery is recognized by SIWF as a training center of category A for surgery and category B for vascular surgery. It currently has 55 beds and records more than 2,700 hospital stays and over 3,500 procedures annually. The surgical range in vascular surgery includes surgery of the upper and lower extremities, procedures on the carotid artery and abdominal aorta, amputations and wound treatments, as well as venous surgery and the creation of accesses for hemodialysis and endovascular procedures. Patient care is provided interdisciplinary, in close collaboration with the radiology and angiography departments. As a regional reference center for vascular surgery, the clinic ensures intensive emergency activity and possesses a medical technical infrastructure that allows for the treatment of complex cases.
