The Vocational School Winterthur (BFS) is a competence center for social professions and retail.
The House and Technical Service of the Vocational School Winterthur is responsible for maintenance work and the preservation of value of the school's five properties as well as ensuring smooth operational processes.
During your apprenticeship, you will learn and consolidate all tasks of a Facility Maintenance Specialist, in particular:
- Various maintenance and basic cleaning tasks
- Proper disposal
- Garden and outdoor work
- Winter service
- Maintenance of building facilities
- Inventory management of consumables
- Monitoring and servicing of building technology (heating, ventilation, sanitary and electrical installations)
- Door opening and locking control of school buildings
- First aid
- Fire prevention and initial measures in case of fire
- On-call service
If you are skilled in crafts, enjoy technical systems, and can communicate effortlessly in German, you have good prerequisites for the apprenticeship.
