For the 2026 intake, the care teams are looking for their future care and support assistant apprentices AFP.

Job Description

You will join a care department at HUG and during your apprenticeship, under the responsibility of the nursing staff, you will provide support to patients in their daily care. This includes managing personal hygiene, feeding, mobilisation and comfort care.

Additionally, you will carry out housekeeping and logistics tasks. You will be responsible for disinfecting equipment, surfaces and managing materials. In doing so, you ensure a hygienic and safe environment within our institution.

Qualifications

You will be 16 years old by the start date, have successfully completed compulsory schooling and have passed an EVA test.

You show an interest in health and social care fields.

You are a good listener who wishes to understand others’ needs and desires to contribute to care teams. You demonstrate courtesy, tact and discretion.

Your personal hygiene and sense of cleanliness are impeccable.

Friendly, you enjoy teamwork and communicate easily with your interlocutors.

You have an interest in the hospital environment and are ready to commit to a vocational training alternating work in a company, practical and theoretical courses at school.
