The position is attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological, and otorhinolaryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation).
The department's goal is to lead patients towards regaining their autonomy through education, support, and outpatient follow-up. It ensures both the operation of patients and their support to promote early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also favored and surgical activity optimized to facilitate access to care within a reasonable timeframe.
The Neurorehabilitation Service cares for people suffering from sequelae of nervous system damage with the aim of achieving the best possible independence and social integration.
Job Description
You join a neurorehabilitation unit dedicated to the care of patients with neurological or neurosurgical pathologies.
Within a committed multidisciplinary team, you actively contribute to support focused on rehabilitation aimed at patient autonomy.
You independently and under medical delegation provide personalized and comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages presenting situations of varying complexity.
You work closely with the multidisciplinary team to build and implement the care plan towards patient empowerment.
Your clinical judgment is developed. You are committed to quality care and orient your care interventions to ensure safe care.
You participate in the supervision and clinical teaching of new nursing staff and other health professionals.
You ensure continuity and safety of care by providing rigorous and adapted follow-up to the specific needs of patients.
You demonstrate clinical judgment to assess situations, prioritize, and adapt your care interventions.
You have good stress management and a sense of priorities.
Your approach to therapeutic education promotes patient autonomy and self-management.
You involve caregivers in the care plan.
You actively participate in the life of the service and team projects.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent recognized qualification by the Swiss Red Cross.
You have at least 2 years of successful experience, ideally in neurorehabilitation.
Your learning abilities allow you to continuously improve your practice.
You have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and consider the patient as a partner in their care.
Your ability to work collaboratively allows you to thrive in a multidisciplinary team. You uphold the relational values of teamwork.
