About the job
Company Description
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a reference institution at both national and international levels. To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our 2025 retrospective by clicking here .
With nearly 1,200 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (DMA) includes the services of anaesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, intensive care, and emergency services. It fulfils a fourfold mission through its services, which provide their expertise in frequent interaction with the entire Geneva University Hospitals, thanks to a transversal platform, with the aim of ensuring the best possible patient care.
The Emergency Service is a transversal service whose missions are to welcome patients 24/7 regardless of the nature of their health problem, to ensure rapid and effective care in order to direct them to the most appropriate structure. The Emergency Service also provides urgent medical assistance at the cantonal level, coordinates and manages major events, while being a reference service for the canton’s structures.
The Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine Unit (UMSH), equipped with a double hyperbaric chamber, is integrated into the emergency service and cares for both elective and emergency patients.
