About the job
Head of Service – no room hour – Sunday and Monday off
at the city border of Zurich – Sunday and Monday off – sought for an urban, unique restaurant with international cuisine and many events. The restaurant is located in a former industrial building. As a passionate host personality, you greatly appreciate pampering your guests anew every day.
Your tasks:
- Overall responsibility for smooth service operations
- Leading and organising the service team
- Active participation in service including managing your own station
- Reception, greeting and care of guests
- Active sales as well as recommendations of weekly & seasonal special offers
- Responsibility for cash management and daily closings
- Support in duty planning and organisation of staff deployment
- Planning, organising and conducting banquets, events and functions
- Active participation in customer discussions as well as offering banquets, events and functions
- Responsible for ordering / purchasing (beverages)
- Compliance with and monitoring of hygiene & quality standards (HACCP)
- Coordination and collaboration with the kitchen
Your profile:
- Passionate host with great enthusiasm
- Basic training in gastronomy or several years of experience in à la carte service
- Leadership experience in service desired
- Completed training as a vocational trainer (mandatory)
- Experience in planning and selling banquets and events is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, warm and conscientious
- Organisational talent and entrepreneurial thinking
- Independent, efficient and reliable working style
