About the job

Would you like to support young adults on their path to independent living? As part of a one-year pilot project starting 1 January 2027, the city of Winterthur is establishing a new service for young adults with refugee backgrounds aged between 18 and 25. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed social pedagogical professional to help shape this service from the outset.

Your Tasks

Support and promote young adults in supported living on their way to independent living during the week and at weekends

Planning, implementation and review of individual support processes as well as ensuring professional case management and documentation

Collaboration and coordination with authorities, educational institutions, and internal and external specialist agencies

Early detection of crisis situations as well as initiation and coordination of appropriate support and intervention measures

Participation in the development and further advancement of the service within the pilot project

Your Profile

Completed studies in social pedagogy HF/FH or a comparable qualification

Several years of professional experience, preferably in supporting young adults or in the migration sector

Independent, structured and responsible working style as well as enthusiasm for developing a new service

High social competence, resilience and strong communication skills

Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; English and other foreign languages are an advantage
