Referendary for Unemployment Compensation
Office for Industry, Trade and Labor (UCIML) | 80–100 % | Chur
The Office for Industry, Trade and Labor (UCIML) currently employs about 135 collaborators in six regions of the canton of Graubünden. In addition to public employment mediation (CIL), we organize labor market measures for people seeking a position and manage the cantonal unemployment fund. Furthermore, we fulfill various tasks in the labor market and occupational safety sectors.
For the division of the Graubünden Unemployment Fund, we are looking for a referendary for unemployment compensation (80–100 %) starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your field of responsibilities
- Check and process applications for unemployment compensation, including thorough examination of entitlement and calculation of benefits
- Correctly and promptly pay out insurance benefits
- Competently and service-oriented advise insured persons about their benefit rights, payment deadlines, and other relevant questions, by phone, in writing, and if necessary, in person
- Coordinate and exchange information with other social insurances as well as other divisions of the office (especially CIL)
What we wish from you
- Completed commercial education or equivalent qualification, ideally experience in social insurance matters (federal professional certificate as a specialist in social insurance is an advantage)
- Sense for numbers as well as precise and structured working methods
- Very good IT knowledge, especially in using Microsoft Office
- Courtesy and professionalism as well as the ability to explain complex facts in a simple and understandable way
- Personality with responsibility, able to handle pressure and work independently
- Flexibility and reliability as well as ability to work in a team
- Good knowledge of German spoken and written, knowledge of Italian is an advantage
