A balanced 2023 result for the city of Aigle
The 2023 financial year of the city of Aigle shows a balanced result with a surplus of income of CHF 94,671.40.
The city of Aigle ends the 2023 financial year favourably with a total of actual income, after deduction of internal allocations and transfers to reserve funds, of CHF 54,515,655.-, representing a margin exceeding the budget by 5.71 million (11.7%). Since 2011, the city of Aigle has been able to achieve actual income higher than the budgeted amounts. With actual expenses reaching a total of CHF 45,697,120.- in 2023, the city of Aigle can count on a self-financing margin of 8.8 million. This amount is considerably higher than the 3.3 million recorded in the budget and long-term forecasts. As for the gross debt, it amounts to 86.03 million as of 31 December 2023 (compared to 81.6 million in 2022), or CHF 7,493 per inhabitant (compared to CHF 7,462 in 2022).
