Exciting tasks await:

• Professional and personnel management of the Collection and Conservation department (conservation-restoration, collection curation, collection technology, museum library and museum archive)
• Prepares and is responsible for the department budget including controlling, quality assurance and personnel development in the department
• Ensures the inventory and documentation of collection objects, their long-term preservation (conservation, restoration) as well as the further development of the collection
• Ensures the scientific research and valorisation of the collection, including through publications, public events, online collection
• Plans and leads department-specific projects, represents the department in internal and external committees, establishes and maintains networks to connect target groups and stakeholders

What you bring:

• University degree in history or a related field (Master’s, preferably doctorate)
• Further training in leadership/management, project management or cultural management
• Several years of experience in museum collection work, basic knowledge in conservation-restoration, proven experience in project management, broad cultural-historical horizon
• Leadership experience, experience in managing interdisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in digital media and user knowledge of the MuseumPlus RIA database
