To support developments in the health sector and strengthen academic coordination at the national and intercantonal levels, HES-SO is advertising the position of:

Your responsibilities
Reporting to the Rector and a member of the HES-SO Executive Committee, you lead the strategic development of the Health domain and actively contribute to the academic prominence of HES-SO at the Romandy, national and international levels.
As head of the Health Domain Council, you coordinate issues related to basic education, applied research and innovation (R&I), continuing education as well as national and international collaborations.
In close collaboration with university management, domain programme leaders and institutional and professional partners, you:
- Lead strategic reflections and development projects for the domain;
- Coordinate the evolution and updating of the framework curricula for Health programmes in line with national requirements;
- Support the development of Bachelor, Master and postgraduate training offerings;
- Promote synergies between universities, networking and interdisciplinary collaborations;
- Encourage the development of applied research, innovation and Open Science;
- Represent HES-SO and the Health domain within national strategic bodies;
- Ensure close links with professional, associative and academic circles.
- In a constantly evolving environment, you actively contribute to anticipating the needs of health professions and supporting transformations in the domain.
Your profile
- You hold a Master’s degree. A doctorate is an asset;
- You are a health professional with a good understanding of field realities and current issues in the domain;
- You have academic experience in the health sector, notably in teaching and/or research activities;
- You have proven experience in a strategic leadership or management role, ideally in higher education or a complex institutional environment;
- You possess an excellent understanding of academic, political and organisational issues;
- You have a strong interest in the Swiss education system and in universities of applied sciences in particular;
- You have experience in managing cross-cutting projects and developing partnerships.

- You operate comfortably in complex and highly political environments;
- You have excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills;
- You demonstrate strategic vision, autonomy and a strong sense of initiative;
- You combine organisational rigour with ease in financial management;
- You know how to represent the institution with credibility, diplomacy and impact;
- You master French and have good knowledge of German; proficiency in English is an asset.
